José Pérez-Mesa, photojournalist, was born surrounded by American Staffordshire Terriers and a Cane Corso property of his maternal grandfather and his father. He has been related to the competitive canofilia for more than 25 year, when he began showing “Icee” his Syberian Husky and later a Windsapphire Duchessa Heycha, an Italian Greyhound. By those years, he became the official photographer of the Federación Canófila de Puerto Rico (FCPR).
He owns, show and breed German Shorthair Pointers since 2003 under the kennel name of Vd Maruh and also owns the FCI affix Maruh Von Boriken with his wife Luz Maritza Rodriguez.
Twenty years ago he started his studies to get the judging license of the Federacion Canofila de Puerto Rico. Actually he is all rounded judge at the Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI). He has judged in Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
